The opportunity

The traditional K-12 education system was designed for the industrial age, optimizing for factual recall and logical processing, skills that AI has now commoditized. As we enter the age of automation, the most valuable "human" skills, divergent creativity, emotional intelligence, and systems-level reasoning, are being left behind or reserved only for the global elite. We are building the first scalable, AI-native platform designed to develop the "Core Human Capacities" of the next generation. We are moving beyond "learning to code" to "learning to think," providing children with the cognitive and emotional toolkit needed to thrive alongside artificial intelligence.

What we are looking for

• •You have founded or operated a K–12, early-childhood, consumer EdTech, or children's media product before.
• •You’ve successfully shipped products in the highly regulated world of children's privacy. You believe that "Privacy by Design" is a feature that makes us safer and better than any "off-the-shelf" AI tutor.
• •You have a background in proving that education tech actually works. You know how to track long-term progress and use that data to show parents (and eventually schools) that our platform is worth the investment.
• •You’re comfortable in any room. Whether you’re talking high-level research, social media marketing, or enterprise sales, you can translate our complex mission into a story that moves people to act.
• •You are based in Montréal, or open to relocating or traveling frequently during the first year.

What you will do

• •Set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy from launch to scale.
• •Recruit and lead a world class team to deliver against the company vision.
• •Create and launch the brand.
• •Establish and execute the go-to-market and expansion strategy.
• •Lead all fundraising activities (including debt and equity) to support growth objectives in partnership with Mila Ventures Studio (MVS).
• •Drive operations, including full P&L and cash flow management.
• •Lead in defining, evaluating and evolving the product roadmap by identifying new opportunities and gaps.
• •Determine the highest order KPIs and build the plan and team to measure, monitor, and improve them.
• •Drive strategy and decision-making across all functional areas, including product, data, contracting, operations, technology, marketing, and finance.
• •Regularly partner and communicate with MVS and relevant investors and/or Board of Directors.
• •Create and sustain a great company culture consisting of clearly articulated values and inspired leadership.
