The opportunity

We are launching a new venture in the AI governance space and looking for a founding CEO to bridge the gap between breakthrough research and a global enterprise business. The product gives companies visibility into their AI agents, ensuring they stay compliant across shifting regulatory frameworks. The groundwork is already in place: the roadmap is drafted and a group of design partners is ready to pilot the tech. Because the urgency is driven by hard regulatory deadlines, sales cycles are short and the market pull is significant.

What we are looking for

• •A founding CEO to lead the venture from current formation through to a seed round in late 2026 or early 2027.
• •You might be a good fit if you have founded or operated companies in RegTech, GRC, or security SaaS, or if you have not been a founder yet but have led major commercial deals with CCOs and Data Protection Officers and are ready to step into the driver's seat.
• •You are comfortable moving between deep-tech labs and corporate boardrooms, translating complex AI research into clear business value.
• •You are based in Montréal, or excited to relocate for the first few months to lead the team from the front.

What you will do

• •Set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy from launch to scale.
• •Recruit and lead a world class team to deliver against the company vision.
• •Create and launch the brand.
• •Establish and execute the go-to-market and expansion strategy.
• •Lead all fundraising activities (including debt and equity) to support growth objectives in partnership with Mila Ventures Studio (MVS).
• •Drive operations, including full P&L and cash flow management.
• •Lead in defining, evaluating and evolving the product roadmap by identifying new opportunities and gaps.
• •Determine the highest order KPIs and build the plan and team to measure, monitor, and improve them.
• •Drive strategy and decision-making across all functional areas, including product, data, contracting, operations, technology, marketing, and finance.
• •Regularly partner and communicate with MVS and relevant investors and/or Board of Directors.
• •Create and sustain a great company culture consisting of clearly articulated values and inspired leadership.
